What time do we arrive before a charter?
Arrive 15 minutes prior to departure.
Cancellation Policy
Receive a full refund if you cancel 48 hours before departure of your charter. If there is a weather-related cancellation, you will receive a full refund.
Where do we meet?
Honokohau Harbor Slip H-15 (Turn into Honokohau Harbor, stay left and look for the black and white sign on the right named “KRAKEN”). Park in the dirt parking lot behind the sign. The boat is directly below the sign.
Can we tip?
Yes. The average gratuity is 20%.
Can we bring food and drinks?
Yes. Bring your favorite food and drinks to keep you sustained for the length of your trip.
Can we keep our catch?
Yes. Fish up to 50 pounds will be filleted and bagged. Fish over 50 pounds stay whole and are taken to the market unless the client has a method to take all the fish. Our primary concern is that fish doesn’t get wasted.
How many people can we bring?
You may bring a total of 6 passengers. It doesn’t matter if they are fishing or just a ride along.
What should I bring?
Bring hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, motion sickness medicine (if you get seasick), a small cooler, drinks, and food.
Do you sell apparel?
Yes, we sell hooded sun shirts and hats. We recommend purchasing before the charter.
Can we buy a Kraken lure to remember our catch?
Absolutely.
What is the best time to fish?
Full moons and no moons are the best times to target all fish in general. However, pelagic fish can feed any time of the month.
